Best for Teams with apex domains on Cloudflare DNS

Best for MSPs and IT teams responsible for multiple domains

  • You prefer a more traditional Cloudflare DMARC Management workflow with people involved in each enforcement step.
  • Your buying criteria center on vendor-specific enterprise requirements.
  • Pick Cloudflare DMARC Management if your domains already run on Cloudflare DNS and you want free DMARC report visibility while making record changes yourself.
  • It fits a team watching a handful of its own apex domains at no cost, not an MSP running enforcement across client domains spread over many DNS providers.
  • You run an MSP, or an internal IT or security team, responsible for multiple domains.
  • You want an AI agent to investigate issues, configure authentication, and move domains toward p=reject.
  • Teams already using Claude, OpenAI, or other AI tools can bring the same agent-led operating model to DMARC.

The scorecard

Palisade 96 vs Cloudflare DMARC Management 59, and why

Both products are scored on the same eight dimensions the comparison hub uses, so the figures here are the figures there. Four are derived from vendor facts that each carry a source and a checked date. Four are editorial, marked as such below, and each states its reasoning and its source.

Each dimension is out of 10 and the total is the raw sum out of 80, rescaled to 100 — the raw figure is printed beside it so the conversion is checkable rather than a black box. Scored on what each vendor publishes, not on how the product feels in use. Editorial dimensions last reviewed 2026-09-02.

In depth

Where Palisade and Cloudflare DMARC Management actually differ

Each argument keeps the product screens, sourced comparison points, and supporting analysis together.

Reporting breadth vs managed enforcement

A report viewer in the DNS dashboard vs. executed enforcement

Cloudflare DMARC Management is a reporting surface inside the Cloudflare dashboard. When you enable it, Cloudflare adds a reporting address to your DMARC record, or prompts you to add one if none exists, and the first aggregate report can take up to 24 hours to arrive. The dashboard then shows which sending sources pass or fail SPF, DKIM and DMARC checks, record status, and an audit of your SPF record against the 10-DNS-lookup limit. Acting on any of it is left to you.

  • Agent does the enforcement work and evaluates policy readiness; you approve each step: Agent drafts; you approve
  • DMARC report monitoring: Agent analyzes reports

Palisade runs the same monitoring, then does the work. Its AI agent identifies legitimate senders, configures SPF and DKIM for them, and progressively tightens the DMARC policy to p=reject, with each step approved by your team. Where Cloudflare displays a warning when an SPF record exceeds the lookup limit and tells you to remove entries yourself, Palisade flattens SPF and hosts the DMARC, SPF and MTA-STS records, so enforcement is work the platform does rather than work it assigns you.

Free access vs operating limits

What $0 actually gates

The product costs nothing on any Cloudflare plan, including the Free tier. The gates are structural instead of financial. It only works for domains whose authoritative DNS is hosted on Cloudflare, and only for apex domains, not subdomain setups. Dashboard statistics cover selected periods of up to 30 days, with no longer retention period published. It cannot modify SPF when a CNAME in the zone points to an external domain, and no DMARC-specific API or PSA integration is advertised (checked 2026-07-18).

Single-team fit vs MSP scale

Who each product genuinely serves

Cloudflare DMARC Management fits teams whose domains already sit on Cloudflare DNS and who want report visibility in the dashboard they already use, at no cost. For an MSP the model stops scaling quickly: every client domain's authoritative DNS has to move to Cloudflare before monitoring can start, subdomain configurations are unsupported, and there is no published multi-client view, PSA sync, or per-domain pricing to build a managed service on.

How Cloudflare DMARC Management prices

  • The $0 price is conditional on where your DNS lives: DMARC Management only works for domains whose authoritative DNS is hosted on Cloudflare.
  • Apex domains only; Cloudflare's docs state it does not work with subdomain setups.
  • Dashboard statistics cover selected periods of up to 30 days; Cloudflare does not publish a longer report-retention period (checked 2026-07-18).
  • Policy changes from p=none to p=quarantine or p=reject are manual record edits; the product reports and warns but does not execute enforcement.
  • SPF handling is diagnostic: it displays a warning when a record exceeds the 10-DNS-lookup limit and the documented fix is to remove entries yourself; it cannot modify SPF when a CNAME in the zone points to an external domain.
  • Cloudflare's 100% uptime SLA belongs to the Business and Enterprise plans, not the Free and Pro tiers.

How Palisade prices

  • Cloudflare's tool only works for domains whose authoritative DNS has moved to Cloudflare first; Palisade's hosted DMARC, SPF and MTA-STS records are a built-in feature of the product, not a DNS-hosting requirement.
  • Cloudflare shows you failing sources and leaves the record edits to you; Palisade's AI agent identifies legitimate senders, configures SPF and DKIM, and progressively tightens policy to p=reject with your approval.
  • Cloudflare's statistics views top out at 30-day windows with no published retention period; Palisade includes unlimited report retention on paid plans.
  • Cloudflare publishes no MSP pricing, PSA integrations, or DMARC-specific API; Palisade publishes self-serve IT-team plans sized by email volume from $19/month plus portfolio-based per-client-domain pricing for MSPs, puts API access on every plan including Free, and ships native ConnectWise, HaloPSA and Autotask integrations with client-domain import.

Cloudflare DMARC Management · Overview

Cloudflare DMARC Management is a reporting surface within the Cloudflare dashboard for domains whose authoritative DNS is hosted on Cloudflare. It adds Cloudflare's reporting address to an existing DMARC record, or prompts the operator to add one, then shows source-level DMARC, SPF, and DKIM pass/fail results, record status, and SPF lookup-limit warnings.

Cloudflare publishes GET and PATCH DMARC Reports endpoints, a managed Cloudflare API MCP server, and Agent Lee, a Free-plan beta AI copilot. The management service is for teams with Cloudflare-hosted apex domains that want no-cost reporting, source data, and account diagnostics while retaining responsibility for policy changes and record edits.

Palisade · Overview

Palisade is built around an agent that does the DMARC work rather than reporting on it. It identifies every sending source, drafts the SPF and DKIM changes each one needs, and proposes the next policy step when the evidence supports it.

The agent investigates every sender, drafts every fix, and proposes each policy step, you approve before anything ships.

Cloudflare DMARC Management · What it covers
  • Provides a dashboard with DMARC, SPF, and DKIM pass/fail results by sending source
  • Provides an uptime SLA on Business and Enterprise plans
  • Publishes GET and PATCH endpoints for DMARC Reports
  • Publishes a managed Cloudflare API MCP server
  • Offers Agent Lee as a Free-plan beta AI copilot
Palisade · What it covers
  • The agent investigates senders and drafts the fix, so the work arrives prepared rather than as a list of findings
  • Hosted SPF, DKIM and DMARC on redundant managed DNS, so an approved change can be carried out rather than handed off
  • Portfolio workflow for MSPs, with ConnectWise, HaloPSA and Autotask integrations and a free NFR domain
  • An MCP server and a REST API, so the same data and workflow are reachable from the AI tools a team already uses
Cloudflare DMARC Management · Where it stops
  • Does not advertise agent-led enforcement; policy changes are manual record edits
  • Does not publish a report-retention period longer than 30 days
  • Does not advertise named ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Autotask integrations for DMARC Management
  • Does not publish portfolio-based MSP pricing for DMARC Management
  • Does not advertise MTA-STS hosting in its DMARC Management documentation
Palisade · Where it stops
  • Every policy change waits for a human approval, by design: nothing ships on the agent's own authority
  • MSP pricing is quoted per client domain rather than published as a rate card
  • Plans are sized by monthly email volume, so a low-domain, high-volume sender lands on a higher tier than domain count alone suggests

Questions

Palisade vs Cloudflare DMARC Management: FAQ

What is the main difference between Cloudflare DMARC Management and Palisade?

Palisade is agentic DMARC software. Its agent investigates sending sources, works through SPF and DKIM alignment, and moves domains toward p=reject while your team stays in control. When evaluating Cloudflare DMARC Management, compare that operating model with the workflow in its current product documentation and decide how much work you want your team to carry.

Who should choose Palisade?

Choose Palisade if you want an AI agent to carry routine DMARC work through enforcement, whether you manage one domain or thousands. It is also a natural fit for teams already using Claude, OpenAI, or other AI tools to get operational work done.

Who should choose Cloudflare DMARC Management?

Choose Cloudflare DMARC Management if its current integrations, procurement model, or operating workflow better match your requirements. A more operator-led platform can also fit a team that prefers to review reports and make each change itself.

Does Palisade guarantee a specific time to p=reject?

No responsible DMARC platform should promise the same enforcement timeline for every domain. Timing depends on the number of sending sources, access to DNS and third-party systems, and how quickly each legitimate stream can be aligned. Palisade's agent reduces routine investigation and configuration work while operators retain control over policy decisions.

Switching from Cloudflare DMARC Management takes three steps

  1. 1

    Batch-import your domains

Bring your client domains into Palisade in bulk, or let your ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Autotask integration sync them automatically.

  2. 2

    Run both platforms in parallel

DMARC reporting supports multiple recipients, so Palisade and Cloudflare DMARC Management receive the same reports during the overlap window. Nothing breaks while you compare.

  3. 3

Cut DNS over on your schedule

Point records at Palisade's hosted infrastructure (redundant managed DNS), then retire the old setup when you're satisfied.

Our onboarding team handles the technical transition with you.
