Palisade Raises a 1.5M$ Pre-Seed led by Boreal Ventures

Since the inception of Palisade five months ago, our goal has been to build an AI-first DMARC agent that can carry authentication work forward for MSPs and teams managing many domains.

What started off as an idea in the basement of our lake house has now rallied a team of A-players. To this list, we are proud to add our friends at Boreal Venture as the leading investor of our $1.5M pre-seed round. Joining Boreal in the round are fellow founders, investors, and friends: Marc-Andrée Campagna, Vincent Thibault, Jayson Dacosta, Alexi Roy, Philip Barclay, Yanis Melata, and other key players hopping on.

The task at hand is massive, and we believe having this support team on the rocket ship with us will help us navigate through the adventure.

Why Boreal

As former bootstrappers with exits under our belt, we were very thoughtful about raising a round and the type of investors we would like to get on our cap table. David Charbonneau, Boreal’s Managing Partner, has been a friend since my very first startup. I called Dave when initially validating the idea for Palisade with no intention of raising a round. I bounced the idea off him and we got excited.

David, Yanis, and I planned a retreat at the hacker house to prepare for a YC interview that ultimately didn't happen. After three days of intensive discussions, trail running conversations, and consuming numerous 12-packs of Bubbly, we were certain we had a shared vision. Like us, David envisions building a company that is healthy, high-performing, and enjoyable to work at.

We started working on a financing plan at 5:30 am, just before Dave and Yanis had to head back to the city. At that point, it seemed like a natural fit to work together to accelerate Palisade's growth.

We are grateful for this vote of confidence from our friends and investors. It is only the start of the journey. The Palisade team is building AI-first, agent-first DMARC software that investigates sending sources, works through authentication, and helps operators move domains toward enforcement.
