Agari vs Palisade in 2026

How Agari and Palisade compare on operating model, pricing, and fit for IT teams and MSPs.

Our verdict: Pick Palisade if you want an AI agent to carry the work through enforcement, whether you manage one domain or thousands. Pick Agari if your team prefers a traditional, operator-led workflow.

Feature comparison

Palisade vs Agari at a glance

FeatureAgariPalisade
Enforcement
Autonomous enforcement executionFortra advertises automated DMARC deployment and enforcement; per its Automation and Hosting Features brief, admins approve senders per domain using EasySPF, EasyDKIM, and 3rd-Party Sender Intelligence, or Fortra staff administer records under a hosted deployment, rather than an autonomous agent executing the enforcement steps itself (checked 2026-07-18).
DMARC report monitoringAggregate and forensic report analysis with an executive dashboard, confirmed on Fortra's product and DMARC solution pages.
Limits & metering
Unlimited report retentionFortra does not publish report retention terms (checked 2026-07-18).
API access on every planNative APIs for SOC automation are advertised, but Fortra publishes no plan tiers, so API availability across quotes cannot be confirmed (checked 2026-07-18).
MSP operations
Portfolio-based MSP per-domain pricingThe pricing page is a quote-request form; Fortra's FAQ bands price by user count, not domains (checked 2026-07-18).
Multi-tenant client managementNothing on Fortra's DMARC Protection product or pricing pages addresses MSP operations; multi-tenant client management is not advertised (checked 2026-07-18).
ConnectWise, HaloPSA & Autotask integrationsFortra's integrations copy lists SOAR/SIEM platforms (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, Palo Alto Networks); it does not advertise PSA integrations (checked 2026-07-18).
Hosted records & DNS
Hosted DMARC, SPF & MTA-STS recordsFortra hosts DMARC, SPF, and DKIM records per its Automation and Hosting Features brief; MTA-STS hosting is not advertised (checked 2026-07-18).
SPF flatteningAgari's EasySPF inventories senders and builds SPF records per domain; SPF flattening or lookup-limit handling is not advertised (checked 2026-07-18).
Hosted records on redundant managed DNSFortra's hosting brief advertises delivery guarantees for hosted deployments but publishes no DNS uptime SLA (checked 2026-07-18).

How Agari gets a domain to p=reject

Agari's path to enforcement runs through sender-management tooling plus optional vendor service. 3rd-Party Sender Intelligence identifies who sends on a domain, EasySPF inventories senders so admins can approve them per domain, and EasyDKIM tracks selectors and key rotation. Customers either build their own records with these tools or turn record management over to Fortra, whose hosted option assigns Fortra staff to create, host, and administer SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records as part of the contract.

Palisade's agent executes that work directly. It reads report data to identify legitimate senders, configures SPF and DKIM, and progressively tightens each domain's policy to p=reject. The practical difference for an MSP: with Agari, progress depends on your admins working the approval queue or on Fortra's service team; with Palisade, the same enforcement steps run agent-executed across every client domain you manage, without buying a managed service to get there.

What Agari meters (and how Palisade prices)

Fortra publishes no prices for DMARC Protection. The pricing page is a quote-request form, and Fortra's own FAQ says price is dictated by the number of users at your organization, with bands under 100, up to 500, and 1,000 and beyond. Bundle discounts reward buying more Fortra products, and deployment help is offered through enterprise professional services tiers covering onboarding, training, enablement, and support. Third-party procurement data from Vendr lists typical contracts at $10,000 to $50,000 per year for mid-market deployments. Volume and retention terms are not published (checked 2026-07-18).

Palisade publishes its self-serve IT-team pricing: a Free plan for one domain and up to 1,000 emails/month, flat monthly plans sized by email volume from $19/month (20% off on annual billing) with every organization domain included, unlimited report retention on paid plans and API access on every plan, and a 15-day full-product trial. MSPs receive a free NFR domain and quoted, portfolio-based per-client-domain pricing with no client email metering.

Who Agari actually serves

Fortra aims DMARC Protection at enterprise brand protection. The product page speaks to SOC teams: preconfigured Splunk, Azure Sentinel, and Palo Alto Networks integrations, threat feeds, takedown bundles, and enterprise professional services tiers for deployment. Nothing on the product or pricing pages addresses MSP operations. Multi-tenant client management, PSA integrations, and per-domain pricing an MSP could build margin on are not advertised (checked 2026-07-18), and Fortra's FAQ ties price to the number of users at your organization, a model that does not map to per-domain MSP margin.

An MSP running DMARC across dozens or hundreds of client domains needs repeatable per-domain economics, PSA workflow, and enforcement that does not wait on a service engagement per client. Agari's model stops scaling there. The honest concession: Agari fits an enterprise security team protecting its own brand's domains, especially one that wants Fortra staff administering records under a managed deployment or is already consolidating on Fortra's email security stack.

Pricing

Agari pricing explained (and how Palisade compares)

Fortra sells Agari DMARC Protection through an enterprise quote process. The pricing page is a request form, and Fortra's FAQ states price is set by user-count bands (under 100, up to 500, 1,000 and beyond), with discounts for bundling more Fortra products.

Agari planPublished priceWhat you get
Fortra DMARC Protection (formerly Agari)Custom - contact salesQuote-based license priced by user-count band (under 100, up to 500, 1,000+ users per Fortra's pricing FAQ). DMARC reporting and analytics, 3rd-Party Sender Intelligence, EasySPF and EasyDKIM tooling.

Email security bundles (Advanced / Elite)Custom - contact salesDMARC Protection is included in Fortra's Advanced and Elite email security bundles (the Core bundle covers other Fortra email products); per Fortra's pricing FAQ, the more Email Security products purchased, the larger the multi-service discount.
  • No prices are published anywhere on fortra.com; the pricing page is a quote-request form for a personalized quote.
  • Fortra's own pricing FAQ states price is dictated by the number of users at your organization, with bands under 100 users, up to 500, and 1,000 and beyond.
  • Multi-product discounts apply through Fortra's email security bundles; DMARC Protection sits in the Advanced and Elite bundles.
  • Third-party procurement data (Vendr) lists typical Fortra Agari contracts at $10,000 to $50,000 per year for mid-market deployments; Fortra itself publishes no figures.
  • Deployment help is offered through enterprise professional services tiers covering onboarding, training, enablement, and support, per Fortra's pricing FAQ.
  • No self-serve signup or trial is advertised for DMARC Protection; entry is a demo request and quote form (checked 2026-07-18).

The decision

Which one is right for you?

Pick Agari if…

  • You prefer a more traditional Agari workflow with people involved in each enforcement step.
  • Your buying criteria center on vendor-specific enterprise requirements.
  • Pick Agari if you're an enterprise security team protecting your own brand's domains and want a vendor-managed deployment, with Fortra staff creating, hosting, and administering SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records under contract.
  • Pick Agari if your SOC needs DMARC threat data flowing into Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or Palo Alto Networks, or you're already consolidating on Fortra's bundled email security stack.

Pick Palisade if…

  • You run an MSP, or an internal IT or security team, responsible for multiple domains.
  • You want an AI agent to investigate issues, configure authentication, and move domains toward p=reject.
  • Teams already using Claude, OpenAI, or other AI tools can bring the same agent-led operating model to DMARC.

Migration

Switching from Agari takes three steps

1

Batch-import your domains

Bring your client domains into Palisade in bulk, or let your ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Autotask integration sync them automatically.

2

Run both platforms in parallel

DMARC reporting supports multiple recipients, so Palisade and Agari receive the same reports during the overlap window. Nothing breaks while you compare.

3

Cut DNS over on your schedule

Point records at Palisade's hosted infrastructure (redundant managed DNS), then retire the old setup when you're satisfied.
