SimpleDMARC vs Palisade in 2026

SimpleDMARC combines DMARC reporting, hosted authentication records, and an automated path to enforcement. Palisade is agentic: its agent investigates every sender, drafts every fix, and proposes each policy step. You approve before anything ships.

Our verdict: Pick SimpleDMARC if you want hosted DMARC and SPF, published storage-based plans, and a partner program with white-labeling and multi-tenant tools. Pick Palisade if you want an AI agent to investigate senders, draft authentication fixes, and propose each move toward p=reject while your team approves every change.

The scorecard

Palisade 96 vs SimpleDMARC 86, and why

Both products are scored on the same eight dimensions the comparison hub uses, so the figures here are the figures there. Four are derived from vendor facts that each carry a source and a checked date. Four are editorial, marked as such below, and each states its reasoning and its source.

Each dimension is out of 10 and the total is the raw sum out of 80, rescaled to 100 — the raw figure is printed beside it so the conversion is checkable rather than a black box. Scored on what each vendor publishes, not on how the product feels in use. Editorial dimensions last reviewed 2026-08-30.

How much of the work the vendor's own software does. 10 = it identifies the sending sources, drafts the SPF and DKIM fixes each one needs, and proposes the next policy step. 6 = it applies the records for you, but a person decides what to fix and when to advance. 3 = it reports, and every change is yours to make. A vendor whose team does the work rather than its software scores here on the software alone.

Automation vs approval control

SimpleDMARC automates policy progression, while Palisade keeps the release gate

SimpleDMARC presents a hosted path from monitoring to enforcement. Its product page says the platform identifies services sending on your behalf, guides SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration, and can move a domain from p=none to quarantine to reject. It also says hosted records update automatically after the customer delegates the record through a CNAME. That is genuine parity on the core enforcement problem, not a report viewer waiting for an operator to interpret XML. Source (2026-08-26) Source 2 (2026-08-26)

Fully Hosted SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI & MTA-STS
Palisade

The operating boundary is different. SimpleDMARC advertises an engine that promotes policy when confidence thresholds are met and describes automatic record updates. Its public product and setup pages do not advertise a customer approval step before every DNS or policy change. Palisade's agent investigates every sender, drafts every fix, and proposes each policy step. Your team approves before anything ships. Storage pricing vs volume pricing

SimpleDMARC's storage meter matters more than its unlimited-email headline

SimpleDMARC's public price list is easy to read, but the limits are not only domain counts. Free keeps 256 MB and 14 days of history. Starter moves to 2 GB and 90 days. Growth lists 10 GB and one year, Pro lists 25 GB and two years, and Business lists 100 GB and three years. All of those plans list unlimited email volume, while extra active domains carry a separate charge. The result is a bill shaped by the number of domains, the history you need, and how much report data your portfolio stores rather than by message volume. Source (2026-08-26)

Palisade's internal IT plans use a different meter: flat monthly tiers sized by email volume, with the Free plan covering one domain and 1,000 emails per month. Paid tiers start at $19 per month and cap set-up domains by plan, while adding domains remains free and unlimited. For MSPs, Palisade quotes per client domain and does not meter client email volume. SimpleDMARC's published model is a reasonable fit when unlimited email volume and visible annual pricing matter. Palisade is the closer fit when an MSP wants portfolio-based domain pricing or an IT team wants the cost to track its sending tier. Source (2026-08-26)

Hosted records vs DNS control

Hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS are SimpleDMARC parity points

SimpleDMARC's hosted-service pages cover more than aggregate reporting. Hosted DMARC uses CNAME delegation and advertises policy management, report processing, sender discovery, alerts, version history, and rollback. Hosted SPF uses a CNAME, macro-based flattening, automatic IP resolution, provider detection, and a lookup counter. Its MTA-STS page adds automated policy hosting, a guided move from testing to enforcement, TLS reporting, and MX validation. Those surfaces make SimpleDMARC a reasonable candidate for a team that wants several email-authentication records managed from one platform. Source (2026-08-26) Source 2 (2026-08-26) Source 3 (2026-08-26)

The pricing page also lists hosted DKIM and BIMI with VMC or CMC support on Pro. There is a small availability caveat: the site's navigation labels some hosted services as coming soon even while the pricing table lists them in a plan. That is not a reason to assume the feature is absent, but it is a reason to confirm the exact service status and plan entitlement during procurement. Palisade also provides hosted SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, and MTA-STS records, with Smart DNS Deployment as a separate path for customer-approved changes in the customer's own DNS zone. White-labeling vs PSA operations

SimpleDMARC's MSP offer includes white-labeling, but named PSA coverage is not published

SimpleDMARC's partner page describes a clear MSP and reseller motion. It advertises a fully white-labeled platform, multi-tenant tools, volume discounts, dedicated partner support, simple APIs, wholesale pricing for resellers, and custom pricing for MSPs. That is meaningful parity for a service provider that wants to present DMARC management under its own brand and is comfortable taking the commercial details to a partner conversation. Source (2026-08-26)

Multi-tenant solution
Palisade

The public integration story is less specific. The partner page says APIs and onboarding support make it easier to add email security to a portfolio, but the public pages reviewed do not name ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Autotask integrations. That unknown matters if the service desk is where client-domain onboarding and remediation tickets must live. Palisade publishes native ConnectWise, HaloPSA, and Autotask integrations, alongside a free API, so the two products meet the MSP requirement in different ways: SimpleDMARC emphasizes white-label partner infrastructure, while Palisade emphasizes an agent-led operations workflow inside familiar PSA systems. Its public pricing and partner pages do not advertise a REST or GraphQL reference, and its homepage, pricing page, and partner page do not advertise an MCP server, AI-assistant integration, or AI or machine-learning product feature. How SimpleDMARC prices

  • SimpleDMARC says the billing model is based on report storage rather than email volume, and every listed plan includes unlimited emails (checked 2026-08-26).
  • Annual billing is advertised as saving 20 percent. The page also shows the normal monthly equivalent for the Free through Business plans (checked 2026-08-26).
  • Paid-plan cards and the pricing FAQ say the trial is 14 days, while a page-header badge says 30-day free trial. The vendor's public pricing page therefore contains a trial-length conflict that should be confirmed before purchase (checked 2026-08-26).
  • Active-domain ceilings and extra-domain rates vary by tier. Report storage and retention also increase by plan, while Enterprise leaves the commercial terms custom (checked 2026-08-26).
  • The partner page offers MSP volume discounts, multi-tenant tools, white-labeling, and custom pricing, but it does not publish a per-client-domain rate (checked 2026-08-26).

How Palisade prices

  • Palisade's Free plan covers one domain and up to 1,000 emails per month. Paid IT-team plans are flat monthly prices sized by sending volume, starting at $19 per month with 20 percent off annually, and cap set-up domains at 2, 3, 6, 10, or 20 while adding domains stays free and unlimited.
  • Palisade's MSP model is quoted per client domain, with a rate that improves as the portfolio grows. Client email volume is not metered, and the provider's own MSP domain is included as a free Not-For-Resale license.
  • Palisade's 15-day full-product trial requires no credit card. Its agent investigates senders, drafts SPF and DKIM fixes, and proposes policy steps for approval. SimpleDMARC's public pricing page says paid plans include a 14-day trial, but also displays a conflicting 30-day badge.

SimpleDMARC · Overview

SimpleDMARC combines DMARC reporting, hosted authentication records, and an automated path to enforcement. Its public plans pair active-domain ceilings with report storage, data retention, and team-member limits while listing unlimited email volume. The service is aimed at teams that want reporting, hosted record management, and published annual pricing in one platform.

SimpleDMARC offers hosted DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS through CNAME delegation, with policy management, report processing, sender discovery, alerts, and automated record updates. Its partner program includes white-labeling, multi-tenant tools, simple APIs, and custom MSP pricing. It is aimed at MSPs and resellers that want to manage client domains under their own brand.

Palisade · Overview

Palisade is built around an agent that does the DMARC work rather than reporting on it. It identifies every sending source, drafts the SPF and DKIM changes each one needs, and proposes the next policy step when the evidence supports it.

The agent investigates every sender, drafts every fix, and proposes each policy step, you approve before anything ships.

SimpleDMARC · What it covers
  • Provides automatic policy progression from monitoring toward quarantine and reject
  • Processes aggregate and forensic DMARC reports with dashboards and alerts
  • Hosts DMARC, SPF, and MTA-STS records through CNAME delegation
  • Manages hundreds of domains from one dashboard
  • Offers a white-label, multi-tenant platform for MSPs
Palisade · What it covers
  • The agent investigates senders and drafts the fix, so the work arrives prepared rather than as a list of findings
  • Hosted SPF, DKIM and DMARC on redundant managed DNS, so an approved change can be carried out rather than handed off
  • Portfolio workflow for MSPs, with ConnectWise, HaloPSA and Autotask integrations and a free NFR domain
  • An MCP server and a REST API, so the same data and workflow are reachable from the AI tools a team already uses
SimpleDMARC · Where it stops
  • Does not advertise customer approval before each DNS or policy change
  • Does not advertise named ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Autotask integrations

  • Does not advertise a public REST or GraphQL API reference
  • Does not advertise an MCP server or AI-assistant integration
Palisade · Where it stops
  • Every policy change waits for a human approval, by design: nothing ships on the agent's own authority
  • MSP pricing is quoted per client domain rather than published as a rate card
  • Plans are sized by monthly email volume, so a low-domain, high-volume sender lands on a higher tier than domain count alone suggests

Questions

Palisade vs SimpleDMARC: FAQ

What is the main difference between SimpleDMARC and Palisade?

Both products advertise DMARC reporting, hosted authentication records, sender discovery, and a path to enforcement. SimpleDMARC emphasizes hosted records and automatic policy progression. Palisade's agent investigates every sender, drafts each fix, and proposes each policy step while your team approves before anything ships. SimpleDMARC's public pages do not advertise that per-change approval gate (checked 2026-08-26).

Does SimpleDMARC support DMARC reporting and enforcement?

Yes. SimpleDMARC's public product pages list aggregate and forensic report processing, sender discovery, alerts, hosted DMARC through CNAME delegation, and an automated progression from p=none through quarantine to reject. The same pages say hosted records update automatically, so confirm the exact review controls if approval before each change is required (checked 2026-08-26).

Does SimpleDMARC offer hosted SPF and MTA-STS?

Yes. SimpleDMARC advertises hosted SPF with CNAME delegation, macro-based flattening, provider detection, and version history. Its Hosted MTA-STS page advertises automated policy hosting, TLS-RPT analysis, and MX validation. The pricing page lists hosted SPF and MTA-STS on Growth and above (checked 2026-08-26).

How much does SimpleDMARC cost?

SimpleDMARC's annual pricing page lists Free at $0, Starter at $86, Growth at $182, Pro at $374, and Business at $758, with Enterprise at custom pricing. The plans list unlimited email volume, but active-domain, storage, retention, team-member, and extra-domain limits vary by tier. Annual billing is advertised as 20 percent lower than the normal monthly equivalent (checked 2026-08-26).

Does SimpleDMARC have a free plan and free trial?

Yes, with a published wording conflict. The Free plan is listed at $0 for one active domain, and the plan cards and FAQ say paid plans include a 14-day trial with no credit card required to start Free. A page-header badge says 30-day free trial, so confirm the applicable trial length before purchase (checked 2026-08-26).

Does SimpleDMARC support MSPs and white-labeling?

Yes. The partner page advertises a fully white-labeled platform, multi-tenant tools, volume discounts, dedicated partner support, simple APIs, and custom MSP pricing. It does not publish a per-client-domain rate or name ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Autotask integrations on the pages reviewed, so verify those requirements before choosing it for a PSA-led workflow (checked 2026-08-26).

Can I switch from SimpleDMARC to Palisade without interrupting DMARC reporting?

Yes. DMARC reporting supports multiple recipients, so you can run the two reporting paths in parallel while comparing sender findings. Import the domains, review Palisade's proposed authentication changes, approve the DNS records you want to publish, and retire the SimpleDMARC destination after the new path is validated.

Switching from SimpleDMARC takes three steps

  1. 1

    Inventory the current SimpleDMARC setup

List each domain, current DMARC reporting destination, hosted-record delegation, and any SimpleDMARC plan limit before changing DNS.

  2. 2

Run both reporting paths in parallel

Add Palisade's reporting destination alongside SimpleDMARC during the overlap window, then compare sender findings and policy readiness before retiring the old destination.

  3. 3

Approve the DNS changes one domain at a time

Use Palisade's agent to investigate senders and draft SPF, DKIM, and policy changes. Review each proposal, approve the records you want to publish, and keep SimpleDMARC available until the new workflow is validated.
