Authentication still comes first. ## When a warmup plan is worth using

Use a controlled ramp when the sender is moving genuine mail onto a new dedicated IP or has materially changed its sending path. Google separately recommends increasing a materially changed infrastructure segment. ## What to measure instead of a warmup score

### 1. Verify the production message

Send a representative message through the actual service and inspect the delivered copy. Confirm SPF, DKIM, and DMARC results, then compare them with the visible `From:` domain and the sending path. ### 2. Watch real recipient and receiver signals

Track bounces, deferrals, complaint rate, and delivery results for the same program as you increase volume.
